Job Summary
Asteroid Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Clinician to join ourbehavioral health team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality mental health services,including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and grief counseling. The clinician will workcollaboratively with clients and the care team to develop and implement individualized treatmentplans that support overall well-being.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients’ mental health needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, families, and groups
- Utilize crisis intervention techniques to support clients in acute distress
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with ICD-10 standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate client care
- Provide referrals and resources for additional community services when appropriate
- Stay current with developments in behavioral health to ensure best clinical practices
- Support clients through all phases of care, from intake to discharge
- Maintain an appointed clinical caseload
Skills
- Proficiency in medical records management
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and clinical practices
- Experience working in mental health settings (partial-care or psychiatric day treatment preferred)
- Excellent crisis intervention skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Knowledge of psychotherapy techniques for diverse populations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality care
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a behavioral health-related field
- Clinical licensure preferred (e.g., LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
- Knowledge of ASAM and DSM standards
- Strong computer proficiency and documentation skills
