Job Summary

As the Director of Clinical Outreach, you’ll drive business growth and referral development forAsteroid Health’s behavioral health services. You’ll build and strengthen relationships withreferral sources, payers, and community partners while working closely with clinical teams toensure high-quality care for clients. This role blends strategic outreach, marketing execution,and relationship management to expand client volume and bolster community presence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing plan to hit revenue and client growth goals.
  • Identify target markets and create strategies to attract and retain referral sources and clients.
  • Serve as a treatment navigator to support seamless transitions of care.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with payers, referral sources, and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to align outreach with operational and care goals.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive data to inform strategy and improve outreach efforts.
  • Represent the organization at networking events, conferences, and community activities to boost visibility.
  • Deliver presentations to referral partners and payers to grow partnerships.
  • Work with billing/finance teams to support accurate, timely reimbursement when needed.
  • Submit CRM data, expense reports, and strategic plan updates regularly.
  • Adhere to state and federal confidentiality and compliance standards.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team collaboration.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures, safety, first aid/CPR, and confidentiality compliance (training available).
  • Ability to respond appropriately to overdose situations and suicide risk (training provided).
  • Strategic planning and marketing experience — able to craft and implement campaigns.
  • Effective communication with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Data analysis skills to measure impact and adapt strategy.
  • Creative problem-solving and resilience in outreach execution.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing environments.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred (Business Admin, Healthcare Admin, Marketing, or related).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in healthcare business development, ideally in behavioral health or substance use treatment.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience specifically in behavioral health or substance use treatment settings, or willingness to learn.
