Job Summary

Asteroid Health is looking for a committed and compassionate Admissions Coordinator to joinour behavioral health team. You will conduct client assessments, support treatment planningand intake, provide psychotherapy and crisis intervention, maintain clinical documentation, andhelp coordinate client care from intake through discharge. Collaboration across the care teamand connection to community resources are key aspects of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, families, and groups
  • Utilize crisis intervention techniques to support clients in distress
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure it is completed in a timely manner
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
  • Connect clients to community resources and support services
  • Stay current with clinical best practices in behavioral health
  • Manage client care from intake through discharge
  • Maintain a clinical caseload
  • Perform outreach duties as assigned
  • Complete additional duties as required

Skills

  • Proficient in medical records management
  • Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices
  • Experience in mental health or related settings (partial-care or psychiatric day treatment preferred)
  • Excellent crisis intervention and de-escalation skills
  • Knowledge of psychotherapy techniques for diverse populations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to professional growth and quality care

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a behavioral health-related field (preferred)
  • Licensure in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or substance use therapy (e.g., LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent) preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
  • Knowledge of diagnostic standards (e.g., DSM)
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency
  • Team-oriented and collaborative mindset
